Alta via n° 1

The Alta Via No. 1, also known as the Alta Via dei Giganti, is a hiking itinerary with incomparable scenery, which develops at the foot of the highest massifs in Europe, such as: Monte Rosa, the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc; moreover, it allows hikers who decide to embark on this adventure to cross the entire Aosta Valley from Donnas to Courmayeur.

The trekking of the giants is divided into 17 daily stages which require an average of 3-5 hours of walking and can be covered by anyone as it winds along well-marked and marked paths with an average width of 80 cm.

The itinerary is practicable in the summer months, develops in the medium and high mountains, reaching an altitude of 3000m in some passages.
